The Syrian Refugee Crisis When a civil war in Syria broke out in 2011, Syrian citizens have been in peril. The complicated war has lead to economic collapse and civilian casualties. Millions are now fleeing the country in hopes of a better life. Looking at information and what is at stake, the notions of the world powers toward Syria is not enough and limiting the amount of refugees into the country just on false accusations on the refugees. Many fear of a Muslim dominance, an increase of terrorist propaganda or attacks, and if they can support the amount of people concerning jobs and other necessities. The Syrian refugee crisis is worse than expected, and needs more help from the world.

America’s unemployment is actually very low at the moment. The “Bureau of Labor Statistics Data” has the unemployment rate of February 2017 at 4.7% and it has been below 6% since late 2014 (Bureau of Labor Statistics Data). So to say that jobs are running low is not a good indicator as it has been in very low numbers. For America, baby boomers who were children in the post World War II era are now retiring and using their social security. So many are using their benefits, that it will be hard on the working class to support them. Since baby boomers are retiring, many jobs will open and we will have the refugees help and support the retiring class. Most Syrians have education available to them until the war broke out.
