From: Farzana Aktar RE: Proposal for research (081 735 530) paper on sexual harassm- ent in the workplace.

Introduction:
Sexual harassment in the workplace was unnoticed and many times ignored until recent times. It is a very complicated issue which includes many aspects like legal, emotional, civil rights, and personal. Besides that it is really hard to define as it includes a range of behavior from seemingly mild transgressions to actual sexual abuse. Most of the time women are the victims but men could also be a victim. In a culturally conservative country like Bangladesh, girls who have faced such incidents hardly speak out or seek legal help. In most of the cases finding no other way they leave the job. Sometimes parents do not permit their daughter to have a job to avoid such incidents. Because these incidents can have a serious impact on their family, social, and most importantly in their personal & emotional life. As a result many girls end up just being a home maker despite of the fact that they might have the capabilities to excel in their career.

Areas of research:
I have identified some topics and questions to study which would be needed to complete my research paper:
(1) What are the form sexual harassments and what are its criteria?
(2) Who are the culprits and who are the victims?
(3) Is it a form of discrimination? What the law has to say?
(4)

Comprehending the term “euthanasia” in the medical world is vital because its controversy always develop suspicious questions. Euthanasia is defined as the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable, painful disease or an irreversible coma. At times families and doctors have a pivotal role when a dying patient is in a situation in which nothing more can be done. Prior to the liberalization of the telecommunication sector of Ghana’s economy, the mobile telephony sector of the economy was non-existent. The only telecommunication service available to the populace was limited fixed lines provided by the Ghana Postal and Telecommunication Corporation (GP&T), which had a monopoly. The rate of access to phone in homes was 3 phones per 1,000 inhabitants and its distribution was skewed in favour of urban dwellers especially those in Accra. This led to the springing up of communication centers which charged ten times the rate of operators.…

Individuals have different personalities, habits, beliefs and social concepts. People carry these traits into an organizational setting while conforming to the rules and regulations established by the organization. Certain personal habits such as smoking, or religious beliefs such as taking time to pray at work may cause conflict in the workplace if such practices are in the minority. In the past, cigarette smoking was a fashionable habit; however, in the US Surgeon General declared in 1964, that smoking is hazardous to ones health (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 2006).…
