Additionally, studies have indicated that the duration of an intervention is not necessarily associated with outcomes. In fact, interventions that are of short duration, but intensive, may offer the most efficient approach, (Vaughn, S., Gerten, R. and Chard, D.J. 2000; Brooks, 2007). Brooks cautions about the need to carefully monitor the effects of interventions that last longer than one term. Interestingly, Singleton (2009, citing Truch, 2003) suggests that ‘the rate of gain may decelerate quite rapidly for intensive interventions after the first 12 hours of intervention. Limited job opportunities sometimes arise because students often fall through the cracks of the school system because they are being shuffled through their school. Students are sometimes rushed through to the next grade because some teachers want to keep students in their age appropriate grade. For the past two years the public school systemsave onehas failed to meet the minimum standards required for the No Child Left Behind program. This coming year will be the final year for the public school system to meet the standards or it will lose its charter and the program will be taken over by state officials or privatized. There are four basic strategies that could be implemented ¯ Action Research, Appreciative Inquiry, Future Search and Whole Systems Intervention. Because of the infrastructure difficulties and cultural changes that need to be addressed, as well as the large number of employees and parents involved and the variety of their concerns, it is our contention that the Whole System Predictive Modeling approach would be the most favorable methodology to remedy this situation.
