Response To Psalm For Guys: The Damsel
For Guys : The Damsel
The journey in finding her might be hard and rough especially when you are not settling for less than you bargained for but we must start from what the scripture says. Psalm 18:22 ?the man who finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the lord.? Psalm 19:14 also says ?fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth but only the lord can give an understanding wife.?
We must come to a balance here, you must find and also god gives. You don?t put the total responsibility of finding her to God alone simply by quating scriptures and praying but you also must open your eyes and find. This is the way it usually plays out. God will present to you as many ladies that may come your way at some particular time or period in your life and you must then decide on who you want as time goes on.

“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.”(Pride and Prejudice 1.1-2). Simply put, marriage is an agreement between two people to be joined together for the rest of their lives, but as shown in two passages from novels, Pride and Prejudice with Mr. Collin’s proposal along with Our Mutual Friend and Mr. Headstone’s proposal, there can always be added twists and turns to each marriage. The proposal of Mr. Headstone to his respective woman is more rhetorically effective than Mr. Collin’s proposal to his cousin due to Mr. Headstone’s display of his strengths and minimal weaknesses, in contrast to Mr. Collin’s proposal.…

You also need to know what your values are. As Morrie stated, “You get tested. You find out who you are, who the other person is, and how you accommodate or don’t” (149). In a marriage the husband and wife must have similar values and beliefs. If they don’t their marriage will be full of friction and disagreements. A successful marriage will only happen if the two people involved work together with one another. As Morrie states one of the biggest values is, “Your belief in the importance of your marriage” (149). Marriage is something that you shouldn’t rush into. “It is a loving relationship that needs to be nurtured and have respect between the husband and wife” (My mom, Deb Broek). You should not commit to a marriage unless you are fully in love and are ready to devote yourself to that person. Today our culture and society makes it very hard to be fully committed to another person. Many people are very busy with jobs and other activities that they haven’t taken the time to sit down and figure out who they really are. Since we don’t know our true selves, we have no idea who and what we want in a spouse. One of the many distractions to the things that matter in a marriage and life could be the value that is placed on…

Heavenly Father, I thank You for making us Your bride. I wait patiently and with joy for the return of Your Son Jesus Christ. I dedicate my marriage to You and I also dedicate my spouse to You Lord. I pray that Your Kingdom will come in my marriage as it is in heaven. I pray that our marriage will honor You and obey Your decrees and commands as it relates to the Biblical foundations and doctrine of marriage according to faithfulness, love, submission toward one another, and Mark 10.6-9. I pray Hebrews 13.4 and I pray Proverbs 19.14 over my spouse and Proverbs 20.6-7 over my spouse. I pray 1 Cor. 13 over our marriage and Ephesians 5.22-33. Let the love we have for You transcend into marriage, but let not our love that we have for each other become idolatrous. Let Galatians 5.22&23 abound in our marriage. I pray that you would bring us to a place of agreement in prayer. Have us not to live in the mindset of Ananias and Sapphira, but cause us to stand in/for truth. Bless our intimacy and let it prosper; bless our finances and let it prosper; bless our businesses, passions, gifts, talents, and employment and let them prosper; and bless our children and let them prosper. Let us be a blessing to other marriages. I pray that this prayer will cause…
