if it was, why was he decreasing the pay of the highly skilled workers that deserved the pay. Instead of them rioting and causing a public issue. Knowing if he decided on this sudden change, or if he didn’t would have been better than a riot.
3.
The French Revolution would have changed if the Reveillon Riot would have had a different reason for happening because there would not be any economic suffering or political ferment. It would have not been hard on the working class, or for them not to worry about the price of a loaf of bread or any food increasing and costing a whole days pay for just an unskilled factory worker; not so much a skilled factory worker. Or the election for the Estates General coming up had not unsettled the people. The women would not have had to protest about food shortage in October of 1789, from Paris to Versailles because of the loss of food. Maybe would have changed the result of Louis XVI being forced by the Aristocrats to convene the Estates General in Versailles in May of 1789. Economically or Military, France would not have had financial crisis of Opulent Lifestyle of Absolute Monarchy, Over a Century of Constant Warfare, or Financial Assistance. Politically, France would not have had Louis XVI forced to rule after Louis XV could not any more. Wealth was invested in land, Tax Exempt Power based on Birthrights, Privileges. The Bourgeoisie or Middle Order becoming really wealthy and no political power needed, causing the peasants to do what they could do to survive and not starve and not being wealthy. The Reveillon Riot may have been a bad act, but if that didn’t happen, The French Revolution would have been and ended differently because the acts leading up to it could not have …show more content…
happened and changed the course it wanted to go down.
Event #2
1. The Revolutionary War was an event that happened in 1775-1783. A war between the Kingdom of Great Britain and thirteen British colonies. It was a culmination of the political American Revolution, where the colonists overthrew British rule. With the revolutionaries seizing control of each thirteen colonial governments, they had set up a Second Continental Congress and then formed and Continental Army. A year later they finally formally declared their independence as a new nation, the United States of America. European people would fight on the American side, while Native Americans and African Americans served on both sides; whoever they chose. (http://www.myrevolutionarywar.com)
2. To prevent the Revolutionary war from happening, France could have seized the rivalry with Great Britain, and France would have not had given Military and Financial aid to the American Revolutionaries. Or French would of not had a victory in the Chesapeake leading British army to surrender at Yorktown in 1781. If that did not happen, the Treaty of Paris would have not ended the war in 1783 and recognizing the sovereignty of the United States. If Britain didn’t have military disadvantages, they would have maybe won but they didn’t have advantages so they lost.
3.
The French Revolution would have changed if the Revolutionary War had happened differently by the French not having a rivalry with Great Britain and being sane against one another. Not wanting to start a war with them to cause change or maybe even to help them. And so France didn’t have to give military and Financial Aid to Great Britain, or an American Revolutionaries. If the French wasn’t providing money and supplies to arm new republic, they would not have been out of money and then they would have more money by the time the French Revolution comes around years later. If France didn’t suffer a defeat from the British during the Seven Years War, French wouldn’t be so mean and had lost territory from North America under the 1763 Treaty of Paris. The victory of Chesapeake that lead British army to surrender at Yorktown in 1781 would have changed the result because France would have not gained control over the people to cause them to surrender. And if the French didn’t attack General Cornwallis and his men in Yorktown they would of not made General Cornwallis and his men surrendering and France winning the war, ending the war. If all of that would have no happened, the French Revolution would have changed.
