4.9c. Reverse Logistics Costs : Factor - ' Increasing Awareness level of employees about Reverse logistics '. A total of 51 SME’s (19 percent) responded that ' Increasing Awareness level of employees about RL’ is Highly important factor of Reverse logistics costs; 201 SME’s (75 percent) responded that this was an important factor of RL costs. 16 SME’s (6 percent) responded that this factor was somewhat important to RL costs. Majority of the SME’s (94 percent) indicated that 'Increasing Awareness level of employees about RL' is Important to highly important factor for RL costs. Remaining 6 percent also indicating that this factor is somewhat important for RL costs.
Increasing Awareness level of employees about RL is an important factor to control and cut RL costs. All concerned employees to be made aware of the various RL costs, the recovery options and RL strategies. There is a general lack of awareness about RL activities in the firms. RL practices are less known due to the uncertainty of results.
