The Natives would serve on both sides of the war. One of the tribes that helped the Patriots were the Navajo. The French and Indian war was a big war between the french, Virginians, and the Indians. Though many people think the Natives didn’t have a big role in the war, they really were very important to the colonies when fighting. The Natives were very brave and strong soldiers when called.
An important person during the ARW was George Washington. Mr. Washington was one of the generals that led 20,000 french and american soldiers to victory at Valley Forge after defeating the British soldiers at Fort Wallis. General George Washington also led our country to victory and was greatly rewarded for his great service. After the treaty of paris was signed George decided he wanted to go home and live a regular life, not knowing that later on he would become our very first president of the United States of America.
Another important person during the ARW is Paul Revere. Paul was a soldier in the ARW that made cannons and gunpowder. Mr. Revere also rode on his horse to warn Samuel Adams and john Hancock that the British were coming to Lexington. Paul revere saved the colonists living in Lexington from the British that night. It all started in 1777 when the british had a plan to split up the 13 colonies and wanted to use the harbors to dock their boats. The British sent many soldiers to attack from the North, the South, and the west, thinking that their plan would work. It must have been a long time before they got there, since they were delayed by many other small battles. It gave the patriots time to prepare and find them. When the british were found, they were outnumbered. The British had to surrender. This must have been important because winning a long battle gave the Patriots hope and perseverance to keep
