It is detrimentally important for anyone who is going to debate, or talk about a topic. If they use egos logos and pathos they are set up for success. As the articles mentioned, teaching rhetoric is extremely beneficial. All students should be taught about rhetoric.
Many people in the communication field will spend a semester or two studying debating, persuasion, propaganda or problems in the media. While sitting in a classroom listening to a professor go on about the importance that Aristotle created, many may not believe it at first. But, until a student has to debate a topic, particularly one that they do not believe in, then The Rhetoric becomes absolutely needed.
The drive for more education based on the Rhetoric and Aristotle’s philosophy may be surprising. However, Plato must have felt a sense of accomplishment when his student was able to come up with a process of speech that would be successful for centuries to come. Through the complicated exterior that The Rhetoric shows, the reasons for which it is still used today in an effective manner is that when speaking publicly or debating, people never truly realize how much it helps to follow the aspect of Logos, Ethos and Pathos in order to communicate and get their point
