Richard Wagner Biography
Richard Wagner was a classical artist in Germany during the Romantic period. Although Wagner faced many conflicts in his lifetime, he managed to compose operas that still have a standing influence to this day. Wagner’s works are emotional and strike deep into the hearts of the listeners, including Adolf Hitler who was a fan of Wagner. The life of Richard Wagner is complex and interesting, but you can’t become a famous composer if you have a dull life. Wagners life begins on May 22nd, 1813 in Leipzig, Germany to Carl and Johanna Wagner. Carl Wagner passed away shortly after Wagners birth, leaving Ludwig Geyer to be his father. From 1849-1852 Wagner wrote short prose’s such as Art and Revelation, The Art of the Future, A Communication to My Friends, and Opera and Drama. While in Exile, Wagner started to compose his most note-worthy piece, Das Ring des Nibelungen. The ring was filled with emotion that is portrayed by the orchestra; it was a “musical drama”. In 1861 Wagner returned to Germany from exile where he continued to travel and write until he eventually ran into dept. Luckily Wagner was a favorite of King Louis II, who set him up with a villa and a salary to write music. In Munich, the first productions of Tristan, Die Meistersinger, Das Rhinegold, and Die Walküre. Besides preforming his Operas and writing music, Wagner became the lover of von Bülow’s wife, who left Bülow and married Wagner. Because of the controversy for his marriage, Wagner left Munich as soon as possible. Wagners last and greatest accomplishment was the performance of The Ring which lasted 18 hours and consisted of 4 parts. Wagner died not long after the preforming of this Opera. A heart attack took his life on February 13th, 1889 at the age of 69 in

    This journal is all about one of the most famous and successful German composer of the Baroque period. Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach Germany in 1685 he had seven siblings which made him the youngest out of all his brothers and sisters. His father Johann Ambrosius Bach was the director of the town musicians and his uncles were professional musicians. Bach was surrounded by music and musicians his whole child hood, this influenced him to have a love for music. When both of his parents died in 1694 he went to live with his older brother Johann Christopher Bach who was the organist at St. Michael`s church.
