Rosa Parks believed in the same exact things as Martin Luther King Jr. Rosa Parks was an “African American civil rights activist whose refusal to relinquish her seat to a white man, which is recognized as the spark that ignited the U.S. civil rights movement”(Rosa Parks) Parks also believed segregation was inhumane and wanted to put a stop to it. She did not think someone with a different skin tone had more rights than her. No matter what is done, there is always going to be consequences. It was known by many people that “Rosa Parks believed that everyone is equal, so she did what she felt was right and a result faced unnecessary consequences”(Rosa Parks) Most people will not do things if they know there is going to be a price. Parks payed a big price of going to jail. Standing up for something takes a lot of courage. Parks was very courageous, “Parks stood up for racism and segregation. She didn't let a white man take her seat on a bus, therefore going to jail”(Garrow) In Parks time, the majority thought what she did was wrong. When we look at it now, we realize what she did was very brave. Rosa Parks is someone everyone should look up to and take
