RIGHTS OF NON-MUSLIMS IN ISLAMIC STATE

Under the Islamic law, non-Muslim minorities received rights and privileges that other minorities did not have under any other law in any other country. The relationship between the Muslim community and the non-Muslim minority is based on Allah's rule that says: {Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah love those who are just.}[Al-Mumtahanah: 9].

The humanity did not know these rules before Islam. It lived for centuries after Islam, but suffered the horrors of lacking them.

The Safavid, Mughal, and Ottoman empires all depended in some way on the allegiance of non-Muslims to the empire. The Ottoman emperors were kinder on their conquered people, and the main separation between Muslims and non-Muslims in the empire was the tax on the dhimmis (non-Muslims). The Safavid leaders were more forceful in this regard. They imposed on subjects to convert to Islam unless they were an asset in trading with Europe. However, the leaders of the Mughal Empire, starting with Akbar, were far more just and understanding toward conquered people (mainly the Hindu population) in northern India.…

The holy book of Islam, the Quran (Koran), preaches peace and charity yet terrorist use the Quran to reprimand their destructive acts. These terror groups, such as ISIS, use the name of Allah as a facade for their striking of enemies and oppressors. In reality, Islam preaches the opposite of what these terrorist groups endorse.
