Ringworm Research Paper
Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin, that is also known by dermatophytosis or tinea. Uniquely, ringwork can affect people and animals. Ringworm takes two to four weeks to heal. The symptoms include red patches to the skin, and can spread to other areas of the skin. The affected areas can be a scalp, beard, groin, or hands. Ringworms look like red circular blisters that are raised. There are different types of ringworm which are: tinea capitis (scalp), corporis (body), cruris (jock itch), and pedis (athlete’s foot). Tinea cruris, the jock itch, is most common in adolescent boys and men. Ringworm is caused by three fungis called: trichophyton, epidermophyton, and microsporum. If there's more glucose present than needed, insulin helps the glucose to be stored in adipose tissues as fat for potential future energy needs. One immediate effect of the breakdown and conversion of glucose into cellular energy is an increased metabolism, which can manifest itself in the form of increased heart rate, high blood pressure or some other form of arousal such as heightened mental alertness [4].…
