Throughout my primary, secondary and even my post-secondary education most of my fellow students came from almost identical backgrounds. Most of us came from parents or grandparents who crossed the border to pursue better education and work. Because of this we are a close-knit community where everyone is extended family. The Valley has always been my security blanket.

I have realized my responsibility to help those around me whenever possible. I have learned that helping others not only creates opportunities for them but also contributes to the content of my own character. If I’ve learned anything from my experiences it’s that even the smallest of changes in circumstance can make for the biggest change in one’s quality of life.
I am so honored and humbled to have been an influence for the youth in my community, showing them that education, opportunities, and justice are for everyone regardless of life’s circumstances and arrogant opinions. I have enjoyed every moment of working with children, but I want to fight for them and their families in in ways I can only do with a career in law. Law, at its heart, creates order, and ensures vulnerable people are protected. A life of service is a noble one that I hope to achieve. A life where I can offer hope when hope seems
