Charles V was forced to focus his attention on what most part of Europe believe was an Ottoman-Muslim threat. It all turned for the worst in 1534 when France wanted to drive the Habsburgs out of Italy and joined forces with the Ottoman. This alliance put western Europe in freight because of the Ottomans strong military advances against the Christians in eastern Europe and the western Mediterranean played an important role in European politics.
