Risk and Quality Management Assessment Summary
In every industry, there are many challenges we face ranging from keeping revenues up and quality care to our customers. In health care, were faced with these challenges every day and are finding ways to make it better in an organization. The group chosen for this essay is UC Davis Health System. The cancer center is a large facility and so we need to know about the concepts of the organization. With risk management within UC Davis is recognizing all the risk within the organization. A fundamental concept at UC Davis is a clinic devoted to just employees who work there. It is called Employee Health Services. According to “UC Davis Health System: Human Resources” (2015), “We provide services to help with work-related health problems, injuries or illnesses. We have several surveillance programs including bloodborne pathogen exposures, audiometry, latex, laser eye exams, tuberculosis, asbestos, non-asbestos, and N-95 respirator fit program. These programs are reviewed by a quality assurance group within respective departments” (Employee Health Services). Risk management analysis the overall effect on the organization good or bad. Quality management makes sure the customers will be come back to the organization. UC Davis is a good organization that is facing the challenge and creating an organizational change. As organizations facing new challenges everyday it is vital to have a clear understanding of the risk and quality.
