EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The report will go through the main aspects that characterise “Preto Rodizio” in its market and strategies implemented to succeed and to improve operational issues.
The company offers, for a fixed price, only two menu options with an “all-you-can-eat” formula: a “traditional dishes” buffet with hot and cold dishes mainly vegetarian and a “full grill” where up to sixteen different kind of meats are proposed by the waiters who cut the meat from a skewer directly in front of the customer. Good varieties of drinks are available, from characteristic Brazilian cocktails to a broad choice of wine. A particularity resides in the dessert offer: they are not listed in the menu, but personally showed by a waiter at the end of the dinner.
The manager interview and the customer survey conducted have showed an overall company awareness of the weaknesses related mostly to operations. Two evident issue have been enlightened, that is price and service. The implementation of actions to contain costs and improve the overall service are paramount to gain value and to compete successfully in the market.
