Having a friend helps people with many struggles that can not be faced alone. For example, Lennie having George is helpful in many ways, “Lennie went behind the tree and brought out a litter of dried leaves and twigs(steinbeck 10). This supports the topic sentence because it shows lennie is helping george with creating the fire so he doesn’t have to do it by himself. It also shows they are helping each other and things are able to get done easier. In addition the author state’s “ It’s a lot nicer to go around with a guy you know, said George(steinbeck 35). This supports the topic sentence because George knows that being with lennie makes simple task easier instead of being by himself. This also shows they realize that having each other can
