The next level is the ministry of education at the local, provincial and national levels. Schools do require funds from the government because most of them cannot survive without support.
Stakeholders such as parents, the government, the community, teacher organisations, unions and potential employers have a keen interest in
a country’s education. They provide the much needed support in quality education and training for learners in our communities.
South Africa Educational System consists of the following components:
• General Education and Training (GET) which is grade R up to and including grade 9 comprise the compulsory school-age years
• Further Education and Training (FET) which is grade 10 up to and including grade 12 comprise further academic schooling, as well as intermediate vocational education at technical colleges, community colleges and private colleges
• Higher Education and Training (HET) which is responsible for or tertiary education and vocational training
