ROLE OF STUDENTS

HOW STUDENTS CAN BEST SERVE THEIR COUNTRY:
Hints:
1. Tremendous man-power of the country is being wasted away.
2. Education must be made purposeful and practical.
3. High aims and aspirations must be set before the students.
4. Students must work to remove social evils.
5. Students must actively participate in the economic development of the country.
6. Military training is essential.
7. Students must not participate in politics and give up their indulgence in hooligism.
. 8. Students must peacefully ex¬press their dissatisfaction.
9. Moral and intellectual frustration from among the students must be removed.
10. Proper incentives and creative occupations must be provided to the students. It is a pity that tremendous man-power of the country, the student community, has adopted wasteful ways of life. The education¬ists and the authorities have miserably failed to harness the youth to useful and nation-building activities. Education must build the nation through such men and women who are mentally alert, physically sound, morally and spiritually awake. Our future prosperity and welfare of the nation depends upon the kind of education we impart to our young generation and what use they make of it.
HOW STUDENTS CAN BEST SERVE THEIR COUNTRY ?
In the first place our system of education requires complete overhaul. It must be modified to bring under control tremendous man power of-the country. Regular provision must be made for systematic physical training, games and sports. Instead of confining the students within the four walls of the class room, he should be imparted lessons in dignity of labour and manual work. The students must be encouraged to do work in villages. It shall bring some practical element in their education. For we must understand that when the students have to tackle definite problems they employ all their energy, mind and heart to the task before them. They will develop the habit of thought and of getting things

    The second problem is infrastructure. Schools don’t have enough infrastructures for teaching and studying. Most of schools lack of laboratory and machine room. Students just learn theory lessons and don’t practice, so when graduate, they work but can’t translate theory into practice. Moreover, schools in the city can have a good infrastructure, but in some area students don’t have any good condition such as school, tables, seats, boards, and books, etc. they must learn in unsettled rooms, which were built by bamboo and straw grass.
