India has different issues that put the development of women in a completely altered context than their western counter parts. Indeed, women of India still face unjust treatment and are often victims of violent crimes and abuse. Women have a certain dress code, they don’t have a lot of freedom, and India itself is very different from America. The women of India want to be treated as human equals and have more power in their relationship and life.
In addition, women in India have to suffer being violated by their own family members. The status of women in India is a sort of paradox (Para. 14, source 2). People started to consider girls as misery and a burden (Para. 2, source2). Women have left the little bit of security they have in their homes, and now they are in the battle of life. On the other hand, women have to face daily problems like: malnutrition, lack of education, mistreatment, lack of power, divorce, and dowry. India has many cases of deaths due to dowry harassment upon women by husbands and in laws. Women who lack education have more problems since they don’t know much about hygiene, deadly diseases, and other things.
With this in mind, the freedom that women in India have is at a very low rate since the Indians originally wanted to shield their women. It is said the women must obey their fathers, then their husbands, and then their sons. In fact, women being controlled by the males in their life is a normal pattern as Indian women go through their life. Women have to get permission from the males for everything they want to do or even say. They were not allowed to move freely, which led to further reduction in the quality of women.
The women of India still follow the traditional styles of their clothing. They like to wear things like a sari, Salwar Kameez, Lehenga and Choli, long skirt and top, western attire, dhoti and Kurta, pants, and modern attire (Para. 2, source 3). On the other hand, you can notice that the clothes
