Roles and Functions Paper
Working in an organization, it has to always run smooth, and be able to achieve goals and objectives. There are four concepts of management functions in the health care industry that need to be translated in an organization. The base function is to plan, the subsequent function is to organize, and the third function is to lead/direct, and the final function is to control.
Planning within an organization is where management is built it is an unending course of action. There are strategies that are required whenever there is a crisis, and external factors that could affect a company in a positive or negative way depending on the conditions. Having a strategic plan lets management analyze internal and external facts that can also involve the company’s goals and objectives, and that is when you address (SWOT analysis), which is the study of strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats. For the management to be affective with this, it has to be focused on.
The next function of management is to organize, which gives the management the ability to organize all the resources beforehand, and maintain and establish relationships. The management will have inside directorial configuration, which gives them the outlook on other departments and divisions; they are to have the best staff to handle important tasks within the company.
The third function of management is to lead or direct, it helps the management to be in control and supervise the staff; and to help by assisting the staff achieve their goals and accomplishments with the company. It is always important to keep a productive working environment and build positive relationships in a company. By doing that is to have effective communication, understanding the process of communication, and work on the areas that needs improvement. This with help managers become more effective communicators.
