“Romeo and Juliet” is a love story that will make you tear up and make you hate love stories. Love stories like Romeo and Juliet are very hard to watch without cringing and feeling obsessed. Romeo and Juliet is a very popular story that Zeffirelli and Luhrmann made different versions of it. Zeffirelli’s film was nominated for best director and best picture. The party scene is the main focus mostly for everyone because it is when the two star-cross'd lovers meet and fell in love at first sight.
In Zeffirelli’s version the lovers lovingly danced and kissed to express their love for one another. Romeo and Juliet would kiss each other secretly away from everyone and only her nurse would know and keep it a secret. They met at a party when a guy was singing and they were across each other. The backgrounds of the scenes are more ancient and less colorful. The moods of the scenes are not as expected because the background songs are very sad and disappointing.
