Does the organization have a crisis management plan in their strategic plan for a long-term crisis? “We do several years ago we put together a crisis plan if financially we began to suffer. Or occupancy began to drop we outline the steps we would take depending on the severity of the crisis. It was a plan develop by management shared and discuss and approve by our board.” Then he explains that by them owning so much valuable property during financial crisis some property may be sold. “And he mentions about funds that are reserved. “There are funds set aside just for that purpose” 7. I learned that the president does not make decision without the approval of the board. And how every decision made by the organization must undergo an intensive filtering process, to determine the likely outcome of that venture. Also, the concept of making the Wesley Willows an enjoyable place for the senior, and the staff was thought of by president and board. That was one of the driving forces that lead them to allow staff as well as residence to enjoy everything from dinning to the activities

I got the chance to interview a senior who goes to Casco Bay High School. His name is Zack and he's been at Casco bay since freshman year and this is his 4th and final year at Casco Bay. He's pretty tall and has short-ish red hair. When my whole class met up with seniors to interview I went and found him and everybody and their partner scurried off to start their interview. We went over to a big carpeted area called the great space. We went over to to a corner of the room I grabbed a comfy padded chair with a gold wooden frame.Zack grabbed a short plastic chair made to sit at for the keyboard in the room. I interviewed Becky Hendrix, Executive Director for Professional Care Services. I recently had the honor of interviewing someone in our community who has had more than twenty years of leadership experience in our community. The interview ended up taking much longer than I expected because I was so influenced by what she had to say, I did not want to miss anything. Mrs. Becky Hendrix started her career as a CPA back in the 80 's for the World Color Press. Her leadership abilities were quickly realized, and she was promoted to head CPA. From there she moved on to the Professional Care Service where she remained for fifteen years serving as a CPA, and finally working her way up to the Executive Director. Becky was in charge of over 187 employees. My conversation with Becky took a direction that I did not expect. She attributes her success to the leadership traits that she has learned over the years, and quoted many of the very ideas and theories almost verbatim from our class lecture. That was an incredible experience to witness firsthand how these traits become behaviors and practices.…
