Running Warehouse Website Analysis
I have been running for as long as I can remember. I’m not kidding. My mom told me I used to run around in the Church nursery when I was a toddler and the other children would chase me. I was drawn to running out of love for the closest thing I could ever humanly get to flying. I love the good runs, the bad runs, the hard runs, the mad runs, the sad runs, runs with people, runs alone, runs in rain, runs where I can taste the crisp Autumn air…I just love running!

Running many miles requires me to buy quality running shoes often. However, the shoes I buy tend to be pricey. Running clothes in general tend to be pricey. With this dilemma, my sister, a fellow runner, recommended runningwarehouse.com. Running Warehouse is an online shopping website that sells running gear at discounted prices. BODY/CONTENT: This website does not contain a lot of text, because it is more focused on short details and graphics of products. This area includes: sales, special promotions and featured products. Running Warehouse has a navigation bar on the left side of the screen for products and lines they carry. Above this is the search bar. I think the search bar should be in the top of the site, like we learned in class. It is somewhat hard to find.

SIDEBAR: Running Warehouse has a sidebar on the right side of the screen with information about products on sale, online gait analysis and a shoe fit guide.

FOOTER: The footer of the website includes: “Contact Us, Shop with Us, About Us and Socialize.” The footer also includes links to other companies they own.

SOME DESIGN BREAKDOWN
ELEMENTS:
• Space- This website has a light grey background that allows for a decent amount of space on the website. The content is in a narrow, centered section of the screen. The actual content (including text and pictures) doesn’t have a lot of negative

Lastly, the corporate website includes information about the investor relations while the product sale doesn’t.…

First and foremost, the irony of this whole topic is almost too much to bear. In an effort to get me to fall into a superficial norm of laziness, others have put so much analyzing of “symbolism” and scrupulous thought into this topic. “Why on Earth do you run so much?” It seems that everyone has concluded one thing: running must be some representation, must carry some implications, or must have some definition of me that’s completely unfathomable.…
