Some people might think it is only necessary to focus on primarily on STEM courses , but what happens when you graduate from college, and your job choice is limited to only what your learned from STEM. All courses, from STEM to the arts are necessary for proper brain development and worldly skills. If someone only learns everything they know from STEM, they will miss out on other skills only learned from taking all of the subjects. STEM and the arts are equally important because people need a variety of skills to live as members of society and all subjects challenge the brain in different ways. Every STEM course is extremely important for every member of society to learn. Science is necessary for students to know how nature and the world operates. For example, without learning Science, you would miss out on important knowledge that can further help you understand our world. Technology is absolutely necessary in our world today. It will forever be present and it is the building blocks of humanity. Understanding how it works and it's uses challenges people to continue to imperialize different ideas and introduce new inventions into our world. For example, people who paint and draw are able to express their feelings, creativity and uniqueness. If someone was only focused on the courses of STEM, they wouldn't be able to act as a true functional member of society by showing their feelings and exhibiting their uniqueness. Also, the arts help people further understand their culture and teach them unique skills and ideas native to their culture. The arts are important for every student to learn because they challenge the brain in ways STEM can not and they teach necessary

    Since 1975 or so there has been many changes in technology that have affected arts education. Advancements in technology such as the internet, computers, and more art education programs have played a major effect. Before this era students could not really get the full picture of visual arts unless the instructor has the actual prints.
