This is very important
because staffing is such a huge determinant in patient health. If hospitals staffed the right amount of faculty patients, and staff will have improved chances of success in their career and lives. Staff will be less stressed and tiered and clients will be given more adequate care. As a citizen I one day could be a patient in the hospital. This issue can cause life or death problems for everyone. The shortage of nurses greatly increases safety problems in the hospital. Since clients are able to provide feedback to the hospital I can influence by talking to management and hospital staff on the problems I see that the staff may not.
There are many advantages to safe staffing. One reason is for better patient outcomes. When nurses are not overwhelmed with high acuity patients, they are able to provide proper care of patients. Proper staffing reduces the risk of falls, injuries and other adverse events from occurring. It also reduces the burnout that occurs for many nurses because of the high demands. Overall this issue is a continuous battle and inadequate staffing has so many negative outcomes for both patients and staff.
I am recently married with no dependents. Also I am currently unemployed and my husband works multiple jobs to provide while I'm in school. My mother is disabled with no ability to help pay for my education.
Something unique about me is my hard work and dedication to be the best I can be. Regardless of my financial struggles I work very hard to further my education. I am the first of three siblings to attend college, and get a degree. My mother was a single parent who always provided for her children, and her dedication has shown me to work my hardest.
Other attributes I posses is being a team leader. I lead my high school tennis team all throughout high school encouraging and helping my team. I am constantly being involved in school and community projects to try and give back to others. The final attribute I posses is caring for others.
