Sam Houston Heros In The 1800's

There were many brave men and women heros during the 1800’s like the men who fought in the Alamo and died fighting to protect the Alamo since they were way outnumbered by the Mexicans by more than one thousand soldiers. The last one alive defending the Alamo was Davy Crockett and chose to die over becoming a Mexican soldier. After the Alamo was defeated Sam started falling back to settle a camp to surprise attack the Mexicans because Sam Houston and his soldiers were hidden so well. And of all of these Texas heros I think that Sam Houston is the most heroic and brave hero of Texas during the 1800’s for defending and fighting to get Texas independence from Mexico just like Mexico had fought to be independent from Spain (which has nothing to do with Sam Houston but is an interesting fact).
Santa Anna's army was on their way to kill Sam Houston and his army but Sam Houston had found a great area to have the battle that provided hidden cover for him and his army while Santa Anna was in the middle of an open field and got surprise attacked. Sam and his army won the battle ended in 18min, Sam and his army won the battle that lasted 18 minutes. After the battle ended his army couldn’t find Santa Anna but later had found Santa Anna dressed as a peasant and was captured and brought to Sam. After arguing about whether to kill Santa Anna or not, Sam said “‘You want to settle for blood, but I’ll settle for Texas’” because all the soldiers said Santa Anna should be hung (which in my opinion he should have been hung after he signed Texas over to Sam Houston anyway for killing all the soldiers at the alamo), but even though Sam Houston didn’t kill Santa Anna like he should have, he still fought to earn Texas to be freed from Mexico, and also fought to finish the fight the Alamo had started but
