Project Title: “Garbage Segregation Program”

Objective(s): 1. To keep the community clean.
2. To avoid floods by informing the public about proper waste management.
3. To help promote healthy lifestyle.
Target Participants: Barangay Southside, Makati City (26 Streets)
Timing/Venue: July 14, 2013 (Sunday)

Budget: • 3 Plastic Containers for every street = ₱ 600 each 26 Streets x 3 = 78 78 x ₱ 600= ₱ 46,800 • Plastic/Garbage Bags = ₱ 10 26 Streets x 3 = 78 78 x ₱ 10 = ₱ 780 Plus 6 Extra Plastic Bags for every street ₱ 780 x 2 = ₱ 1560 • Driver’s Salary ₱ 500 per week x 4 = ₱ 2,000 • Two (2) Garbage Collectors’ Salary ₱ 300 each x 2 =600 x 4 weeks = ₱ 2,400 • Truck Driver and Garbage Collectors Food Allowance ₱ 300 x 4weeks = ₱ 1,200 Dump truck rental: ₱ 6,500 per day X 4 weeks =₱ 26,000 • Paint 1 Container = 1,300 x 4 ₱ 5,200 • 2000 Flyers (₱ 2 each) ₱ 4,000 • 300 Posters (₱10 each) ₱ 3,000 • Caravan rent expense ₱ 5,000 per day • Food expense meal for 30 people ₱ 3,000 • Total Expenses: ₱ 100,490 • The excess 9,510 will be use in case of shortage/emergency BUDGET: ₱ 110,000
Mechanics/Details: First, of course Meeting of Mayor, Mayor’s Representative, Barangay Chairman, “Tanods” and Zone Leaders about the project and how it will flows. Then the “Tanods” and Zone Leaders will give flyers to the residents and will stick posters around the barangay, after that, there will be a roaming of the caravan for information dissemination. Lastly, formal program presentation of the idea of “Garbage Segregation” project that will be held in the barangay hall.
