Many of the governments in other countries haven’t really done enough to try to stop companies from using children, some governments even encourage this form of labor. Eritrea is one of the worst countries for child labor and their government is one of the very few that still uses state sponsored child labor. Their government does not show any signs of changing the way their children live anytime soon and refuse to recognise the gravity of the situation. Many different group of people contribute to these children’s way of life including: The government, parents and companies who all play a significant role in these children's lives. Parents are supposed to be the ones working and providing for the family, not the other way around. Many of these children have to go off and help support their families because their family cannot afford to survive on their own. Lack of education, unemployment and poverty are all causing factors of child labor, But the effects of child labor are horrific. Many child labor jobs are in hazardous conditions in factories or even underground mines, which often result in accidents. An estimated one million children work in small scale mines in the middle east, many have been injured or even killed in the accidents. According to the ILO ( international labour organization) 22 thousand children are killed every year working in hazardous jobs specifically prohibited to children.
