Yes, we’re taught to respect people regardless of who they are but there’s no specific rule specifying that bullying LGBT people is wrong and comes with severe consequences. This school doesn’t focus on or follow up on LGBTs being able to go to school without being harassed. There are people who could be bullied everyday quietly with witnesses who laugh along but no one to stand up and if the victim tells, there are no actual witnesses who can back that up. With that LGBT no-bullying policy, everyone knows to respect everyone regardless of who a person is interested in and their sexual orientation and if that were to happen, everyone knows of the severe consequences that can happen. LGBT bullying has some serious effects that happen to the victim, most reports being a development of depression to even suicide. The bullying can hinder a student’s mental or physical ability and may affect the student’s future (such as not getting into the high school of their choice, getting bad grades/test scores,
