Satire On Global Warming
I see pollutants rising into the atmosphere in deadly, clouded masses,
Slowly depleting our sight of solid, green grasses.
Killing the only planet sustainable for human beings.
If our ecosystem is slowly dying, well what does that mean… for us?
It means the list of endangered species only expanding,
And all habitats anticipate the future taking a crash landing.

The ice caps continue to melt from global warming,
But we don’t seem to notice the early warning.
This causing the sea levels to exceptionally increase,
Then the flooding of cities and a disturbance of the peace.

The average American throws out 4 ½ pounds of trash a day.
We need to cut down on waste we produce in every way.
We need to utilize our resources and recycle plastic

This will help to reduce the amount of litter and plastic pollution that will eventually end up in the ocean. If one cannot help clean up the beaches, they can make donations to help the clean-up. There are a number of organizations people can donate to such as the Natural Resources Defense Council or NRDC. NRDC is one of the nation’s most effective action groups. They work to safeguard the earth — its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.…

    So who cares if a bird or two goes extinct? Or an elephant? Or a bug? To most people it doesn’t really matter. But species extinction is a great moral wrong. Every species has a role in its ecosystem and by intruding on the natural balance of things and thus causing the early extinction of species we are throwing the natural balance out of whack and reducing biodiversity. Biodiversity is key in surviving ecological hardship. When difficult situations arise, it is up to species to adapt and evolve to overcome. By intervening and accelerating the hardship of not just one species, but entire ecosystems, we are creating so much stress of the species present that they simply cannot adapt or evolve quick enough in such a short span of time. Thus, human actions are directly responsible for the extinction of many species, which directly correlates to a decrease in genetic and biodiversity. It is hard to deny that we rely on, and take for granted, all of the species and their roles in their ecosystem and how they keep things afloat.
