- but when it's all dark and gloomy with rain pelting down, I feel in a good mood. I don't feel the same when the sun comes! haha. Although, maybe it's because I don't feel comfortable with my body, so when it's warm I become more self conscious.
-I love the rain when I'm inside as it smashes against the window panes, but nothing beats a cloudless sunny day for sure.
- i love cold weather and rain, big, heavy rain drops. and i

The novel continues to have instances where weather foreshadows the mood and tone of the story. On page 123 Winston and Julia see a Bough in the distance. The bough continues to spread its wings whilst in the sun and “ducked its head for a moment, as though making a sort of obedience to the sun, and then began to pour forth a torrent of song.” (Orwell 123) This quote…

Damp, humid, especially inside of my shoes is extra soggy. Heavy rain made such a gloomy weather, dark grumpy clouds is still on there. The weather these days had changed so differently from decades ago. Southern California used to have nice weather, wasn’t so humid, and wasn’t cold, it has been hot in the summer yet inside of the shade was cool enough. Scientists claim it is because of climate change, ozone layer destruction, or global warming.…

Today, you could attest to saying that times have been rough here in America. With an increase in gas and food prices, due to two major hurricanes (Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas and Hurricane Irma in the State of Florida), the unemployment rate is still at a steady rise, and family’s homes are still being foreclosed. It is particular hard to say that homelessness is decreasing. Although the resulting numbers from the 2008 National Count of homelessness that is done every year in January, showed that there was a 12% decrease in homeless people on the streets and shelters from 2005-2007 and a 30% decrease in chronic homelessness in 2005. The moral controversy of this issue is to ask, what can we do to physical decrease the number of people on the streets and in…

After a difficult decision, out of the three unique and wonderful versions of Stormy weather, my favorite version was none other than the original version by Lena Horne. Lena feels the song when she sings it, she knows what it is like to be heartbroken and she portrays that in her song. Lena also makes you feel the song, she reminds you of the time you once had your heartbroken. The flow of the music is natural, it goes together well and does not sound broken up. My second favorite was the version done by Royal Crown Revue. I liked the jazzy upbeat music, it made me want to get up and dance. Although I enjoyed the music I did not feel that the song was about a heartbreak. Lastly the version by Reigning Sound was my least favorite, I did not…

While many people just go year to year feeling a drop in energy level or depressed around the time the season changes into winter, it could actually be a mood disorder, called “Seasonal Affective Disorder”, or referred to as “SAD” .Between 4%-6% of people in the United States suffer from SAD. Another 10% to 20% may experience a mild form of winter- onset SAD (AAFP), or what’s commonly known as having the winter blues. While this type of depression is seasonal, starting in late fall to early winter, and in most cases, it fades as the weather changes into spring and summer, it can lead to major depression. Also, it is more common among woman than men.…

During times like this; I put on the closest pair of shoes, grab my keys, go outside, jump into the first puddle that I see, then drive and drive. It does not matter if the rest of the world is quiet. All that matters to me is that there is the pitter-patter of rain on my moving car. Just me driving around on the empty streets and there will be no consequences. No one there to expect anything from me. No one there to judge my love for rain. And…
