Scene Analysis: Thelma And Louise
In the second is the parking lot scene which is where their adventure really begins. On their way to go vacation, Thelma and Louise decide to stop at a bar to have drinks. Thelma then meets a guy, and starts chatting and dancing with him. While they are at a parking lot outside the bar, things start to get out of control, the guy tries to rape Thelma. After a moment, Louise happens to hear and comes out with her gun pointed at the guy, saying let Thelma go. After letting her go, and when asked to apologize, he responses with more offensive remarks, which angers Louise and she ends up shooting and killing him.
Louise acts more naturally like a male from the start of the film, and this scene shows that. She not only handles a gun skillfully,
