In your friend's situation, she probably got frustrated at times. I knew a girl in high school who was dyslexia and sometimes she got frustrated because she could not pick up the information like everyone else. After some testing, she was able to bring a recorder to class, so she can record the lessons. According to Zunker (2016), the acceptance of one's physical condition is often linked to all aspects of one's self-esteem. Counselors need to assist clients in dealing with prejudice and discrimination, and especially the way it affects an individual self-image. Great work!
