seminar tour
I. Introduction

We, first year HRM student where very lucky to have our very first seminar and tour in the summer capital of the Philippines – Baguio City. At first were all excited because our seminar is all about hotel familiarization, that means were going to a hotel and tour inside it. Isn’t it exciting? For me, who dreamed to work in a hotel, is really a big YES!

II. The Departure
We headed to Baguio last August 26 and arrived there the 27th of August, exactly 2:00 in the morning. We were accommodated by the Crown Legacy Hotel, and to tell you it’s really huge, I myself were amazed, with their grand lobby, especially with their majestic stair. Me, Angelica, and Jen were roommates, and were the first group to go up and find our room. While walking towards our room I already feel how comfy it is inside. Not just like when we get off the bus, gee it’s really freezing outside. After putting aside our belongings and stuff, we all went to bed and have some rest for the seminar.
On the same day, at exactly 8:30 am were all prepared for the seminar in one of the famous hotel in Baguio, the Le Monet Hotel in Camp John Hey. As we enter, all eyes up. Everybody was very amazed with those crystals that hanged up the ceiling. Le Monet’s aurora and snowflake chandelier. Me either, I was like “owh my golly, it’s stunning! Superb.” Then I manage to know and see those paintings, arts displays, and the officers on the front desk. We had discussions there about hotel familiarization, activities, just like touring us inside the hotel and their facilities, it’s really superb. One of the best part because they let us enter and sightsee their different royal like rooms. And also one of the best, of course, the lunch part . The foods are really good and delicious, thumbs up. We also had this wine and cheese tasting and the last is the question and answer portion. It is really a great time and experience for us first year student of course. After the

The staff’s high level of character, charm, and enthusiasm are paramount to the hotel in being successful in this endeavor. According to the video, the hotel management strives to motivate their employees by being active in their day-to-day activities and by giving them daily feedback. This keeps them focused, charged and most importantly keeps them in the mindset that their clientele is always observing them. The greatest challenge with management is discipline. (1) What are some factors both developmental and environmental associated with the safety of infants through the second birthday? “Sharing a bed with a newborn is dangerous if the adult is drugged or drunk-and this in danger of “overlying” the baby. It may be that co-sleeping is beneficial but bed-sharing is not, partly because adult beds. Unlike cribs, are often soft, with comforters, mattresses, and pillows that increase a baby’s risk of suffocation (Alm, 2007)”. (Berger 2012, p.137).…

The next few hours on the bus to DC were a blur of talking about how excited we were, trying to sleep, and listening to throwback songs. I don’t think I have ever been as excited as I was when we arrived at the hotel. My friends and I rushed up to our room and started organizing our stuff, in awe that we got to stay in the hotel room all week with each…

The first famous thing we saw was the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, it made me feel surreal, similar to I was here and it did not feel real. Afterwards, we went to a restaurant in D.C.’s mall. It had a lot of hype but the food was okay, but not the best. To end the night, we went to our hotel to sleep. My roommates were Dhalten and Ethan. It was an eventful day.…

We arrived tired after a long flight, and bear in mind the taxi from the airport takes about 45/60 mins to reach the north of the island, Anse La Raie. We were greeted by Sabine (weddings coordinator) and the office manager. The took us into the beautiful seated area, where everything is very tastefully colourful, lots of lime green, pink and orange accessories. They went through the details, times, for breakfast, dinner, lunch etc. We were shown to our room (we stayed in one of the junior suites) which was located on the ground floor, meaning we could walk directly from our room/balcony to the cove in like 30 seconds, (please bear in mind that this is not their private beach which is shielded from see breezes and is totally private.), absolute bliss. The rooms are amazing, a little on the dark side, but sooo beautiful with a living room, bathroom, separate toilet and the most gigantic bed I have ever seen or slept in. The porter decorated our bed on two occasions with our initials and again with “happy wedding” on our wedding night, it was magnificent. We stayed in a Junior suite which benefits from an extra living room compared to the 1001 nights room so is recommended. Our room had a large flat screen TV with a range of satellite channels, DVD player and minibar (which gets refilled daily) included in the all inclusive. All the rooms have a beach view as far as we could make out but the ones nearer the cove are prettier (view wise) than the ones nearer the road entrance of course.…

September 23, 2011, PUPians need to wake up early. More or less 2:00 in the morning just to come to our campus exactly on time. It is written to our waiver that 4:00 is our pick up time. Gathering my bag filled with my snacks, drinks and extra cloths, I went to my beloved school with an excited feeling. Time runs very fast. We’ve waited for our bus, Bus 1 of Accountancy, for almost 2 hours. By the way we have Prof. Jason Hermogenes in our bus. The tourist bus we are in move beyond 7:00 in the morning. Many students are a little bit disappointed because students including me treasures every minute. We don’t want to waste our time because that is an expensive tour, that it cost P1,300.…
