Seminole Tribe Research Paper
The Seminole tribe is native to Florida. They spoke a language called Muskogee and lived in simple houses constructed of poles and thatched roofs. They were able to fish and hunt in the waters off the coast. In addition, they were able to live peacefully until 1732 without any European contact. Seminole stories were intended to provide lessons about “living in harmony with nature and about why the world is the way it is”(). The main figures in their tales are the mischievous rabbit (Chufe, Chufi, Cokfi, or Chokfee), the breathmaker (creator god), little giver (corn spirit), stikini (owl-witches), and long-ears (wolf-like
