They now serve as a source of entertainment in movies, TV shows, and other forms of media. By presenting these stereotypes as entertaining elements in popular media they shed light on real racial problems in our society today in an unaggressive manner. In Guess Who (2005) Percy Jones and Simon Green’s dysfunctional relationship is used to identify the underlying racial tensions between African American’s and Caucasians, including the issues about employment, physical characteristics, and lifestyle choices; Simultaneously, director Kevin Sullivan sends the message that the issues presented in the movie are not specific to one race, but rather to our society as a whole.…

The day finally came to job shadow my dentist. I carefully watched him perform a number of different procedures and found it all so intriguing. Not only were the techniques and procedures he performed interesting, but I was also fascinated with the connection he had with each and every one of his patients. There is only a history of this controversy as long as video games have been around, but shorter than that because in videogames early years there were almost no violence in most of the games. Like pong for example you would only hit a ball back and forth, sounds boring right but in actuality it were so popular in its day then something better replaced it (glazer, 2). A never ending sequence where video games will only advance as time goes on. This is an arguable issue because of the belief that video games are bad for you but, there was and is no proof that video games are bad for you. This has been an issue for about as long as the N64 has been around.…

The Freshman Service Project is the first service that I have ever done in my life. Although I have volunteered to help in local events and charity organization occasionally throughout high school, those can’t be classified as a service. Unlike volunteering, which only benefits the recipients, a service benefits both parties, the helpers and the people that we are helping. The Freshman Service Project in my opinion is a brilliant way for us college students to give back to our society.…

The poem is arranged as the narrator having a dream and in his dream he is communicating with the cross on which Jesus was crucified. The stanzas are split up into separate sections. Around section one, the storyteller has a vision of the cross (a sign). At first when the dreamer sees the cross, he summaries how it is covered with gems. The dreamer is also mindful of how vile he is compared to how magnificent the tree is. In spite of this, he occurs to him that among the beautiful stones it is tainted with blood.…
