The day finally came to job shadow my dentist. I carefully watched him perform a number of different procedures and found it all so intriguing. Not only were the techniques and procedures he performed interesting, but I was also fascinated with the connection he had with each and every one of his patients. However, I still have the strong desire and drive to become a dentist. I have a mother that is scared to death of the dentist after several bad experiences and a brother that is terrified of needles. I know of a person that breaks out in nervous rash on her neck before she visits the dentist. I want to make a difference. I want to be the dentist that helps change people’s perception and anxieties of dentistry. I look forward to handling a variety of dental care needs and I am committed to promoting oral healthcare. I am a well-rounded and motivated person, who will thrive in a university
