Item 22 – Nature/Science (Score = 7): The types of daily events the caregivers use using science are, having jars with bugs in them sitting on the windowsill and leaves hung up on the wall for the children to look at. The other types of nature the students come into contact with are bugs, trees, birds, and grass outside. If there are big, puffy clouds outside, the caregivers will show them to the children. When the caregivers do have access to the computer, they show the students live cams form the zoo of animals. The students really enjoy watching the animals.
Item 24 – Promoting acceptance of diversity (Score = 7): This classroom has five or more books with different races/cultures, ages young and old, and different genders. There are pictures for the children to look at all over the classroom with ages young and old, boys and girls. On the wall outside of the classroom, there is a map with stars on it. The stars represent where the children have been and where the children are originally from. I was not aware of the culture diversity within the Early Learning
