Service Request SR-kf-013 In this paper I will discuss how Kudler Fine Foods is in the process of developing a new frequent shopper program and describe the potential legal, ethical, and information security concerns related to the development of the Kudler Fine Foods Frequent Shopper Program. I would like to go into a little detail of the company, Kathy Kudler is the founder and owner of the company and their first location is located in La Jolla, San Diego CA. Kathy basically wanted a place from which people and chefs can purchase high end food and cooking tools for cooking. Kudler Fine Food has three store fronts and now expanding online as well. With this in mind can create many problems down the line for Kathy and from which I will explain. First I would like to go into detail about the potential legal concerns for the company. The potential legal concerns could become devastating to a small business like Kudler Fine Foods. One legal issue could be the leak or loss of a customer’s vital information such as name address, and telephone numbers. The loss of this vital personal information to internal or external perpetrators could lead to serious crimes such as identity theft. If identity theft is committed in this fashion, the customer can sue the company if the loss is proven to originate from information leaked by Kudler Fine Foods. The disgruntled customer could also use word of mouth to turn other customers away from shopping at Kudler Fine Foods. The effects in a small area could be devastating to Kudler Fine Foods and Damage the company’s reputation within the community. Identity theft is ranked number one in Consumer Sentinel Network Complaint Categories (Sentinel, 2010.) Their customers information can be used for fraud which can be from $357 dollars to $1,370,737,896 (Sentinel, 2010.) Second I would like to discuss the ethical portion relating to
