Sex trafficking is one of many businesses in the fast growing crime of human tracking. All around the world women and children and being forced and sold into sex acts through various ways, and it's very hard to escape. Many of the women that are taken away by the traffickers are minors who are just trying to find a new life. Over 3,287 women and children are kidnapped and forced into sex every day. That’s over 136 people an hour, and keep in mind, those are just the reported cases. The children can be runaway girls who don’t want to be home anymore so they think that running away is the best option. Situations with their family cause them to be so upset, and when a trafficker comes across a girl like that they offer them things like food and shelter to help them get through with it. Instead of trying to convince them to get home like any actual concerned person would, they tell the girls things that will help them to think they don’t need to go back home. These girls are in situations where they become very gullible since they practically have nothing. That is just one of the many way traffickers pick of children, and they make it seem so easy. There's such a lack of awareness on this topic and it's something that should be known, what data we have so far of sex trafficking victims, is utterly terrifying. It’s so hard to imagine what these people and their families go through and how they try to cope with it. Only a small portion of the sex trafficking cases have been reported and not all of them have been figured out, leaving the victim to be trapped and pushed deeper into the business.
