Macbeth’s aside, he makes a claim that proves how unsympathetic he is becoming. Macbeth is talking to Lennox in his castle when he turns aside and talks to himself. Macbeth says, “ From this moment/ The very firstlings of my heart shall be/ The firstlings of my hand.” (IV.i.146-148). In other words, Macbeth is saying that whatever he thinks of he will do. This proves how unsympathetic he is because at this moment he is thinking about killing Macduff’s bloodline. He is becoming more and more inhuman because he is not even stopping to think that he is hurting other people. Macbeth has transformed into a likeable character with some human qualities to a ruthless monster with little to no human qualities and very unsympathetic.
