Shanda Flemming Case Study
A Baltimore, Maryland, mom signed a school permission slip for what she thought would be a routine teeth cleaning for her son. She found out that much more happened to her 9-year-old child when he came home crying with a swollen face.

Shanda Flemming is enraged that her son, Michael, had three teeth removed during the Baltimore City Schools dental program without even being notified. There was never a phone call made to the mother to let her know that the teeth were going to be removed before they pulled them out, or after to tell her what they did to 9-year-old child.

The mother of the third grader told WJZ:
