Shared Discovery Curriculum Analysis

I am intrigued by the Shared Discovery Curriculum. I think it is very beneficial for medical students because it provides them with an opportunity to work ahead of traditional preparation and to gain as much clinical experience as possible. I believe that I will be successful in the Shared Discovery Curriculum because I am consistent, hardworking and strategic. Consistency is a very important part of success. As a future physician, I know that there will be times when I have a lot of responsibilities and my ability to be consistent will allow me to continue to put in energy when feeling overwhelmed. I am also hardworking and strive to do my best in all things. I understand that the road to medicine is not an easy one but I am willing
to put in the effort, time and dedication to be successful in this program. Finally, I am strategic, I strive to think of situations from different perspectives and alternative ways to reach solutions. Being strategic is important in medicine because there won’t always be answers to every situation. Sometimes one must think outside of the norm to discover other possibilities. If I come across problems with this specific curriculum, I will not hesitate to answer questions. Being open to ask questions is something that I had to be comfortable with. I will also take time to analyze what I may be doing wrong and try to make the necessary improvements.
