Shaun The Sheep Descriptive Language
Part B
We were required to review two movies one of our choice which I chose The Shaun The Sheep Movie and a movie that all the class had to review which was Ferris Beuller’s Day Off. I targeted my reviews to appear in a newspaper. I believe the style of my film reviews would be targeted at the Guardian or the Daily Telegraph, because the language I used is quite formal and descriptive. My reviews are predominately suited to the older generation who consequently would appreciate reading a newspaper.
Both the movies that I chose were either targeted at children or teenagers. But I believe the reviews would be targeted at parents who were thinking of taking their children to the movies. I believe this is the case because I used quite complex

This style of writing is used to describe to the readers characters allowing them to create elaborate mental pictures of the setting in their minds. For example
Create intriguing, complex characters
I believe I explained the characters effectively because people want to sympathize with them and also want to get to know the characters and learn more about their experiences in the story.
I believe the Shaun The Sheep movie best targets the audience which I intended it for because I believe that it would fit into a newspaper perfectly. I believe that I have written it perfectly for an adult audience because of the complex language and sophisticated techniques.
It’s hard to decide which review was the best but I liked The Shaun The Sheep movie review because I used sophisticated language. I also used some comparisons between The Shaun The Sheep movie and the movie Up which I thought was really clever comparing how it both movies the main characters has a melancholy flashback. I also enjoyed The Shaun The Sheep Movie more which could have influenced my opinion of which review I liked

Writers who review or evaluate on a regular basis establish or adopt criteria over time, and many of their readers know from experience what the reviewers praise or condemn in a book, movie, or concert. As a novice writer, you will have to be more explicit about the criteria you bring to bear on your evaluation. This is not to say that you should decide on your criteria for evaluation before you read your book, watch your video, or experience your concert. You may find that you are particularly struck by the setting of a novel, for example, so you might want to highlight that as an important criterion for success. In any case, you’ll want to read, view, or listen very carefully, taking lots of notes, and then bounce your ideas off several others before you decide on the particular angle you want to take in your evaluation. Be sure you state your criteria of evaluation clearly. And you will include outside sources—published reviewers or biographers, scholarly critics, or people you survey or interview locally to use as supporting…

Over the past sixty years movies have been a big part of the American society, the stigma of going to the movies is one of the most exciting, rating near the top with amusement parks and laser tag. The idea of going to the movies was created to let people relax and enjoy the time spent hanging out with friends. As the years have progressed the ratings have become worse and worse to the point where parents have become hesitant to let their children enjoy their selves at the movies. Now it has come to the point where a person will never really know what they are going to see when they watch a film with the inconsistency of the MPAA and their inability to rate movies properly. The movie ratings for children have become too lenient to the point where there needs to be a reevaluation and serious change in the way motion pictures are rated.…
