All we were doing was just playing around in the backyard having a fun time being normal children as always. Then I came up with this perfect idea to play hockey because since we all love hockey. To celebrate my victory I spin in circles on my board. Moving my balance from both feet to my right foot the front of my board rises off the snow. While still spinning, I reach my right hand back to the tail of my board. The nose of the board elevates higher into the air. I can hear Alex getting closer. With the launch of one snowball I am thrown to the ground. My shoulder hits first. The impact doesn’t hurt but is enough momentum to make me slide down the powdered…

Last January, this advice that she gave me my whole entire life, paid off. On a frigid January night, my friends and I decided to go sled riding. We went to an old street that had a towering hill that they closed in the winter. Two of my friends have trucks and we decided to sled down the enormous incline, and they would pull us up. At the bottom we were supposed to get in the bed of the truck, and then ride in the bed of the truck on the was up the hill. It was our last run and once to the bottom, Katie, Nick, and Mason decided to stay on the sled to ride to the top. I on the other hand, decided to get in the bed like we were supposed to do. That decision was a decision that was made because of my…

As I crossed the road with my dog Henry, I could feel the frigid winter breeze on my face. Then I felt a snowflake land on my nose like a plane landing after a long flight. I didn’t like this cold weather at all but I had heard many children around me cheering and laughing. I heard things like “woohoo it is snowing” and things like “oww don't throw snowballs at my face”. That last one made me chuckle a little bit when I had heard it. Then I heard someone yell my name, which is Brian by the way. So I turned around and felt a big snowball hit my back.…

I decided to chop off the half of the tail that was crushed. As for the wagon, it was just a broken tire. I was lucky another person on the wagon train had a spare I told them I'd pay them…

The trip home seemed like the longest ever. We walked into the house to find my dad with the TV on. More smoke, more fog, more running to save lives. I remember sitting in front of the TV set, watching aghast and scared. The footage went on forever. Finally my parents calmed me down and convinced me a good nights’ rest would do me some good. I lay in bed racking my brain to figure out why someone would do something so horrible. The next day, we didn’t have to go to school, so I stayed home with my mom. I kept asking her over and over again why this happened, but whatever explanation she gave me, I still couldn’t completely put it all…
