KLM Performance carries the full line of ARP Diesel head stud kits for GM Duramax powered trucks. These ARP Flex Plate Bolt Kits are made for 2001 to 2010 GM/Chevy models powered with the 6.6L Duramax engines with the Allison transmission.
As the crankshaft in your GM/Chevy Duramax engine flexes and twists, displacement of the crankshaft may occur because of a very high energy release. This displacement can lead to the failure of head gaskets causing expensive engine repairs. ARP has developed these ultra strong bolts that keep the damper intact and in a perfect position, thus saving the engine and its vital parts from any damage.

While 8740 and ARP2000 share many similar characteristics, ARP2000 is capable of achieving a clamp load up to 220,000 psi. ARP2000 is used widely in short track and drag racing as an up-grade of 8740 Chrome Moly, in both steel and aluminum rods. Stress corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement are typically not a problem, as they are installed carefully.

ARP Custom Age 625 also offers complete resistance to atmospheric corrosion and oxidation. Custom Age 625 is a less expensive super alloy and is the material of choice in the 260,000 to 280,000 psi tensile strength range.
