Short Story: Describe a time when you and your friend fought
Election War

BOOM! Our friendship was over. Who even wants to be a friend with that jerk? Even though he was my friend, I had to prove he was wrong. Being a part of whole grade students’ council is about true mind, fabulous thought that will help our school, and care, not money nor present. You can’t be a true representative of school if you don’t have any good ideas and are just going just brag about what you achieved. This all started on one normal day. We were eating ice cream together and, suddenly, Ben (Jae-young) asked me a question. “Tom, are you going to run for our school council?” I was really not going to. However, it was something Ben said changed the whole situation. His word flipped my mind. “ I am going to,” said Ben, “I will give people, who I am not familiar with, some treats and money. Then, they will automatically pick me and I will be the school president!” What? That is ridiculous. I told that being a part of whole grade students’ council is about true mind, fabulous thought that will help our school, and care, not money nor present. However, he won’t listen. “Ben, actually I am going to run for school council. Also, it is wrong to give people treats and money just because you want to be a representative.” Ben, who was my friend, was my target enemy. My bomb was facing his side. Two days after we fought, students were allowed to introduce themselves. I made a poster and suggested some ideas to improve our school. Like other kids, I made my slogan; you will earn Thank you if you elect Il Kyu. Of course my friends helped me. As I expected, Ben was giving out some rich treats. He gave money to any person who wanted it. His dad was some company’s CEO. Unfortunately, everyone was crowded against Ben’s poster (most likely a treat). Nobody paid any attention to others and my poster. That day, it was fail. I didn’t get to introduce me. Most of the kids

Mans bestfriend is often used to describe our relationship with our pets, more specifically our dogs. Late last night my 15 year old chocolate Labrador pasted away, and shortly after his passing these two word came to me. However, I didn't welcome them with open arms. As I reflected on the many memories I had with him I thought to myself that this dog was never my friend... He was my FAMILY! You see I can't chalk up our 15 year relationship as a friendship, because that would be the biggest lie I've ever told myself. I loved this dog from the bottom of my heart and I know deep down there is nothing to fill the void I…

There were two groups of friends who both shared contrasting thoughts. One person aggravated me by getting me into trouble during a challenging time of my life. Without thinking, I went to my friends almost in tears because I was so angry. I described what happened to them, but we ended up in trouble for ‘gossiping’. In spite of that, I knew that if I hadn’t said anything I probably would have run away or something. The Bible says to love everyone, but my emotions were strong... Everyone got so annoyed with each other. The opposing side seemed to be saying hurtful and offensive things towards us. Admittingly, we were talking behind their backs about them, but they also were doing that to us (I know that still doesn’t make it right, but read on and I shall explain why that upsets me). They then lied, which caused more chaos and disagreement. Despite some members trying to take counsel from teachers, it only seemed to make matters worse. My friend group did not seem to have a voice. Both sides were confused and were continually feeding the division despite trying to resolve the situation. Even if we tried, the teacher most likely wouldn’t have believed us. Other than that, I haven’t really collided or anything…

When it was time to decide who would become the valedictorian, there were two top students whom our class thought would fit the winning spot. One of the students was a girl named Asal, who was elected senior class president for ASB. The other student was a boy named Henock, who was also elected in ASB but for the school president. Both students had superb grades close to a 5.0 gpa and they both participated in every on and off campus school event. Each of them had many responsibilities. They each would do their part to help the school community when it came to any projects or tutoring. They set a great example for the student body to look up to. They wounded up the crowds during athletic games and pep rallies with incredible school spirit. They each would help come up with ideas and themes for dances, along with helping our school clubs with fundraisers and events such as blood drives. They would help put up flyers and make announcements to make the students aware of fundraisers and activities that were constantly going on at school. They would try to help get the whole school more involved by creating fun games and contests going on during lunch to make sure that everyone felt like they were a part of something no matter what grade level they were in. They had all this pressure coming down on them with all these school activities, along with their school work. They felt the…

All throughout school I strived to be a great student, always trying my best and never giving up. That year everything changed for me I was faced with challenges I never had to face before. My brother and I are three in a half years apart and he went to Horizon High School for his freshman and sophomore year. He was a troublemaker to say the least didn’t have the best reputation so all the teachers there thought that I was just like him. While I was waiting, I looked around, and from the window, the sky became darker and darker as the cloud covered the last sunlight. I couldn’t breathe. In about twenty minutes, most parents were there. Then the head teacher started to talk about how seriously we did. She told in front of all these people: “she was the one who cheated teachers and brought her friends out of school. We teachers are responsible for your children’s safety in the school. But who is responsible for that once they are out? Jasmine, can you?” I was shocked. I did not think about that the teacher would blame me for all of this. Everyone in the office was staring at me, and my parents as well. I was ashamed, so ashamed that I wanted to hide, and I can’t stop my tears out. The teacher continued and talked to all of students: “I believed you because you are fifth grade. I thought you are old enough to distinguish right or wrong. But now, I am really disappointed at you guys.” We were still in elementary school, and we were so young to comfort ourselves in this situation. Most of the girls in our group began to sob like me.…

A year ago, I volunteered as a student ambassador in NPS. Each team has five members, and there was a mission to make two plans for a publicity campaign and put them into practice in a month. I was given a name as “A little Steve Jobs” by fellow members due to my creative and affable personalities, as I shine especially when I had to present in public. For instance, once there was a project regarding social contribution. I suggested to do fundraising by selling bracelets to keep mosquitoes away at Banpo Park, which is famous for summering place. We fundraised for our mission wearing uniforms with “NPS” logo for reducing people’s aversion (aversion is a strong word, is it this serious?) to us. My role was reaching out to people because I am…

    Minecraft Club Analysis

I had to seek out the appropriate adults to help with a variety of situations with this person so that situations could be not only resolved but prevented in the future. I feel that we were all given the additional opportunity to learn to read situations with other members of the group as to when we needed to compromise in order to reach a solution that was viable for all and not just one. While the Minecraft Club was part of the coding curriculum for our District, in the spring with the internet would slow to a crawl for state testing, students outside the club came to the conclusion that it was because of the Minecraft Club and not the infrastructure of the District’s networking that was slowing the internet down. As a small group, we came under attack to the point of that a group of students actually started a petition to have the club disbanded. It was difficult for a small group of five to battle a campus student body of approximately 1700 students. At first, we were all very angry but as we started to reach out to specific adults to assist us in how to handle being a minority on the back end of vocal majority, and a vocal majority that did not have…

I have been best friend with Amy for almost six years. The bond between the two of us is so deep at times it's scary. It even reached a point where I knew what she was thinking before she had a chance to say anything out loud. We were constantly together having a great time! Often people who met us together thought we were sisters and confused our names. In a weird sense we were sisters, minus the DNA connection. It's odd, things had been this way from the moment we met; yet somehow in the last six months everything has shifted. I'm at a turning point in my mind, should I give CPR to this dying friendship or cut my losses while I still can? This decision not only affects Amy, but our families and mutual friends as well. I have to decide which direction our friendship will go next.…
