America has seen a great deal of political growth as a nation. In order to have an equal society we have to allow the intermingling of races. This leads to great progress in the wellness of America. It allows for love, friendship, and harmony . Being the same as everyone and being able to share ideas, thoughts, and interests leads to these things. Love, friendship, and harmony has brought wave to great progress like interracial and gay marriage. If we were to have a separate but equal society we will diminish these great accomplishments. You might be thinking, “How would being a separate but equal society affect gay marriage if gay marriage could be between two people of same race and gender?” Well if the the intermingling of races were to be illegal, l why would you think that same sex marriage would be legal? If America were to become separate but equal what would happen to mixed families? What kind of country would America be then? America is admired greatly for being the home of the free.
