While it may be very true that most average children know their actions, what if those children were not in a ‘normal’ state of mind? Child soldiers were drugged, beat, threatened, and tricked into feeling and thinking nothing except kill, kill, kill. Not only that with all this is emotional and physical abuse, if a child is emotionally and physically abused they tend not to feel anymore, and if they cause a crime then it shouldn’t be their fault, it should be the people who turned them into that, the people who manipulated them with drugs and violence into thinking that's okay. If the UN can give amnesty to the children who have been deprived of their childhood, and jail the people who caused it. That will show the commander what happens to children who they force to fight what…

Child soldiers are victims, not perpetrators, so they should be granted amnesty. Though to some it may look like these kids are choosing this life, in reality, most aren’t. They either have to join those forces or die, which is terrifying for any child to imagine. Not only that, but they were drugged to kill, making them forget how bad it was that they were doing. And to some of them, that army was the only family that they have, providing better living conditions than those out on the streets. Which is why these children are victims of this terrible event and should be legally forgiven for what they were forced to do.…

In 2010, there were over 200,000 children fighting in wars. 20% of those kids, were a part of government groups.
